Homestead away from Home

Ken and Patty spent the last 4 days living life like they didn't have a care in the world. The annual summer retreat for Edward Jones was at the Homestead Resort in Midway, UT. Ken had meetings to attend each morning until noon and Patty even got to go to one on Friday morning. The "spouse meeting" taught Patty how to be a more supportive wife. (Just when she thought there was no room to improve!) Ken's meetings were mostly informative and motivational (and long by Patty's standards.) Every other morning Patty spent time pampering herself. It wasn't to hard to do at a secluded resort! The afternoons were idled away by the pool. Ken read books and Patty tried to convince him to join her for a cannonball contest. (To no avail.) Ken and Patty had a fantastic time meeting people from their region, judging talent shows, and rekindling the romance!

Stairway to Heaven?

One morning when I was exploring, I came across a sign talking about this crater that was more than 60 feet deep full of crystal clear natural water that reached temperatures from the mid 80s to 90s. I was intrigued. The sign said in order to see the crater from the best possible view you had to climb a massive staircase. (They weren't kidding!) I was pretty winded by the time I got to the top. Figured it was the elevation. What I found when I

reached the summit was... massively dissapointing. (See image to right.) What the hay, guys? It was a gate around a "crater" that you couldn't see 5 feet into! What a let down. Later Ken and I found the real entrance to the crater. They charged $75 dollars to get in. But, don't worry, the climb to the stop of the staircase to view "the crater" is free!

The Newest Addition to Cyberspace

Today we joined the millions. We are bloggers. That makes us modern, high-tech, and ultra-cool. Really we are just trying to be more like our BFF's Jeff and Jenna (but we probably won't ever get into American Idol, sorry). In time this is going to be the best blog in the universe. Maybe even beyond. So stay tuned. It'll be worth it.
