Bring On The Champagne

I would like to ask you to, please, hold your applause until the end.

First off, I had my yard sale this weekend.  Ken referred to it as the Red Neck Extravaganza.  It was a little white trash for his liking I suppose.  That is until it was all over and we were sitting around counting our piles of gold coins like Scrooge McDuck.  (You know... the rich uncle from Ducktales?)  My mom and Ken's parents donated tons of items to increase the size of the sale and therefore the bounty.  And, my dearies, it was bountious.  So a very special public thank you to our parents.  And a regular special thank you to our friends, our neighbors (who pre-shopped the sale for days ahead of time), the crazy early bird dickering yard salers of Idaho Falls, and the Mexicans who make this country run.... we made enough to buy over 1,000 junior bacon cheeseburgers.
Ka.  Ching! Ching!  Ching!  Ching!  Ching!  Ching!  Ching!

Second.  We are moving on Saturday, the 20th.  I can't add anymore to that glorious sentence.  We've been a part for over a year and it's time.  Amen.

Third.  Remember when I said I submitted some work to be published?  Well...... IT HAPPENED!!  Both pieces I have submitted are going to be published in a book coming out in a couple months.  And... Yes, I will sign your copy.  I'm going to go out and buy a special pen just for that purpose and practice my fancy loopy celebrity signature.  And daydream about when me and Jo...that would be JK as in JK Rowling to you.. can sit in peace and chat about our successes and poke fun of Stephanie Meyers.  *sigh*  This is the big leagues.

Fourth and finally, tomorrow I turn 27.  I enter my late twenties.  I am very excited to be 27.  It sounds mature and experienced and suave.

What kind of "work" did you publish? That is amazing! I want a signed copy for sure :)

Happy b-day tomorrow! 27 is great :)

Ha! Congrats on your publications but you're going to have to brush up on your 'hobnobbing' skills to overtake the deep relationship I have with JK.

I was pushed out of the way once so she could get on a train. Beat that :)

I was here chuckling out loud and smiling ear to ear in the teachers lounge...and therefore shared your news with a roomful of people who said "Awww" and are happy for you too! Love you

Ashley- I wrote two life essays is what I would call them. About relationships. One as a mother. And one about when I had Rusty (my dog that died). I have purchased my Sharpie and won't even make you stand in line for a signature.

Rory- Dang it. I thought it's be me and her sipping Shirley Temples. I didn't think that I would first have to eliminate the competition. Game on! You're way ahead with the train pushing by the way.

SkippyMom- Thank you! I'm feeling like this is going to be a good good year.

Julia- Jason Rogers.

Kelly Jo- Good news comes in swarms and it feels great.

Brett and Tiff- Good Luck with the pigs!

DoublClik- Thank you and your staff. What a great day!

So happy that you guys are going to be together (so sad that we won't see you next month when we visit the HO)...and I know I said it on Facebook...but a very happy (I know it's way past) birthday to you. Enjoy next birthday is 30! how does this happen to us, yesterday it seems like I was a Sophomore in High School amazed at how old the Seniors were. Boy how time flies (as cliche as it is).
