"N" Is For Number 1

I!  Am!  Number 1!  Two is not a winner and 3 nobody remembers. Eh.

Remember that song?  All time fave.
Yeah, I'm a big country music fan.
... But I'm gangsta at heart.

Well poppy-gangster.  I can't do the real heavy stuff.
I'm just too white.
Give my iPod a quick scan and there's every 50 Cent, Nelly, Outkast, Nappy Roots, and Snoop album.
Toss in some Ciara.  A lil' C-H-I-N-G- to the Y.
Mmmm!
No Usher.  Can't do Usher.
But I would like to be someone's "boo."

Does that take you back to pep rallies or what?

I can't say I've ever heard this song—or even of it—before. Then again, I'm not one for current music.

Sadly, I seem t be WAY older than you today. :(

Are you guys SERIOUS?!?! Joshua? REALLY?! Aren't you only like 30 something? And Jules! No way! OH! Man! I feel like a tweener!

I know Nelly (thong, thong, thong, thong, thong), but I've not heard of this song. Again, not really in my wheelhouse of music taste.

Also—since I don't have an email to ask you directly—what did you mean about The Wife and I sitting on the same side of the table "dates" me? I'm not offended, I'm just looking for clarification.

I think old people sit on the same side of the booth. Or at the least middle aged people in matching University sweatshirts.

I can't do Usher, either. I've never liked anything he's put out.

@Joshua- Nelly doesn't sing the Thong Song. Good try though.

@Kar- Every time I think of you I think Miley Cyrus "Party in the USA!"

I know. That's Sisqo (and a hilarious viral video a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away with a purple hippo). Nelly's the one that used to do the bandaid thing on his left cheek, though I'm still unsure as to the point of that.

As far as the restaurant seating goes, I guess we're just lucky we didn't go to the same schools. Plus, I'm the nerd and she's not. So we're typically mismatched, like last weekend when she was wearing a dress and I was wearing my VOTE GEEK IN 2012 shirt, shorts, and sandals.

Definitely Tweener music. heehee

Can we still be friends tho'?

I like all kinds of music but anything gangsta', rap, gangsta' rap or sometimes utilizing the words "bitches" "hoes" and / or violence against women. . .well, can't exactly say it floats my boat.

I don't think as myself as old. I didn't like rap when it came out years ago when I was younger than you are now. The beats have always hurt my head. But it isn't exactly the sort of music you can listen to on a lower volume, so maybe that might be it. I have tried, with all these kids god knows I have tried, but I just can't.

Have a great week :)
